New Warriors coach Zdravko Logarušić has said that Zimbabwe has a chance of qualifying for both the 2022 World Cup and 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Finals.
He said that Zimbabwe has high-quality players who are up for the task. Speaking to the News Day in an interview, the Croat urged all stakeholders including the media and the Zimbabwe Football Association to give all the supporrrt to the team. He said:
We shouldn’t be afraid because we have players who are playing high-level football. We must believe in ourselves and be confident…
If all those players I know continue to play the same way they are doing at the moment and are match fit, we have a very good chance…
He, however, warned against complacency saying every team wants to qualify hence the need to work hard, be united and give proper support to players and the coaching staff.
Zimbabwe is in Groups G together with South Africa, Ghana and Ethiopia and Group H with Zambia, Botswana and Algeria, in that order, for the World Cup Qualifiers and AFCON Finals Qualifiers.
