Businessman and socialite Genius Kadungure was yesterday arrested for undervaluing a Bentley he recently imported from South Africa, Zimlive reports. Genius reportedly fabricated purchase receipts he presented to ZIMRA which said he bought the Bentley for R1.9 Million.
His arrest was confirmed by his lawyer Jonathan Samkange who said:
Yes, my client has been arrested and detained by the police CID Anti-Corruption Unit for fraud after they suspected that his Bentley vehicle was undervalued to misrepresent on the payment of duty.
Genius last month was ordered to pay an additional US$58,655 after it emerged that he had paid less duty for the car. He will appear in court today.
