The ruling ZANU PF party’s politburo is set to meet on Wednesday at the party’s headquarters in Harare.
This was revealed in a statement by the party’s secretary for Information and Publicity Simon Khaya Moyo. He said:
The Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be a Politburo meeting to be held on Wednesday 5 February 2020 at the Party Headquarters commencing 1000hours. All members should be seated by 0945hours sharp.
The meeting comes at a time when there is some strife within the party, with some Youth League members who are in the Politburo accusing several businesspeople closely linked to the ruling party, of corruption and sabotaging the country’s economy.
