A Gokwe MP Gordon Chanda and a Ward 6 Councillor Gilbert Ganye spent the night behind bars yesterday after they were arrested by the CID for abusing ED’s inputs and rice donation, New Zimbabwe reports.
This was confirmed by Zanu PF Midlands Provincial Chairperson Daniel Mackenzie Ncube, who said:
We understand the MP and his councillor were arrested yesterday (Monday) for allegedly abusing presidential inputs which are meant to benefit villagers. We have, however, gathered that the two are now out on bail after paying $1000.
