Govt Warns Chamisa That He Will Be Arrested If He Carries On With His BBI "Threat"

According to the Daily News, the government through the justice minister, Ziyambi Ziyambi, said the police would not hesitate to arrest the MDC boss, Nelson Chamisa, if he carries out his breaking barriers initiative which he launched on Tuesday last week during his Agenda 2020 address.

Calling Chamisa’s BBI treasonous, Ziyambi said this to the Daily News on Sunday:

They are saying that they want to break all barriers and what it means is that they want to break the country’s laws. They speak about the rule of law but they are failing to respect the country’s laws … this means that they want to remove the constitutionally-elected government.

They want to violate the country’s laws and they know the consequences. He (Chamisa) will be arrested.
Law enforcement agents are ready. Indeed, there is no one who is above the law. If they continue with their move of breaking laws, he will be arrested.

They have also developed a culture of inciting violence and making utterances that disturb the enjoyment of peace in the country. That is illegal and he will be arrested for that.

Chamisa during his SONA said its high time people across political divide speak with one voice against the government’s misrule and called this, breaking barriers initiated by the government a statement that might have been interpreted to mean they were going to defy the law by the government according to their response.
