ZIFA To Announce The New Warriors Coach By Wednesday

ZIFA has assured the nation that by this coming Wednesday (29 January 2020) the football body would have made a decision on the warriors’ coach candidate and will subsequently notify the nation, Newsday reports.

This was revealed by ZIFA which said their executive will meet this coming week to finalise the issue. ZIFA said:

The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) wishes to advise the nation that the appointment of the senior men’s national team coach is work in progress and will be concluded soon.

As the football mother body, we are fully conscious of the upcoming Warriors fixtures and the executive committee will meet on Wednesday next week to conclude the matter

The Warriors’ coach job fell vacant after Sunday Chidzambwa resigned after the 2019 Egpyt AFCON warriors’ defeat.
