2 Dembare Players Off To Russia For Trials

Dynamos’s goalkeeper, Simbarashe Chinani and a young striker, Nigel Katawa are set to go to Russia for trials, Newsday reports. The duo was supposed to leave last night.

According to the source that spoke to the publication, Simba is a free agent since his contract expired and Katawa’s contract is valid for yet another year. Said the source:

They should be in South Africa right now en-route to Russia. Chinani is a free agent after his contract with Dynamos lapsed at the end of the year, and he wants to try his luck in Europe.

He has been invited to Russia for trials, but if he fails, he wants to return to Dynamos. He has said he would not play for any other local team besides Dynamos. Katawa still has a running contract with Dynamos but got the club’s blessing to travel for trials,

The 2 were said to be instrumental in stabilising the team in 2019.
