Machete Wielding “ZANU PF Youths” Entrap Chamisa’s Brother At Matapi (Mbare) Police

MDC official, Starman Chamisa has said that he is trapped at Matapi Police Station in Mbare where alleged ZANU PF youths, armed with machetes have taken siege of the camp.

Starman who is Mbare legislator for the MDC and also a brother to MDC leader Nelson Chamisa posted on twitter on Wednesday and said:

Please note that l am inside Matapi Police Camp and Zanu PF Youth Gang have surrounded the Police Camp with machetes and we can’t get out. Any urgent assistance is appreciated.

I am under siege and need your help here urgently in Mbare!

MDC UK and Ireland branch responded to the tweet saying:

An MDC leader is under siege at a Police station in Mbare Harare with Zanu PF youths threatening violence against him, please help

The development comes after Chamisa, Nelson, held a rally at Stodart Hall in Mbare on Tuesday where he delivered the party’s Agenda 2020.

It also comes when the state is fighting machete gangs that have for months now been terrorising miners and members of the public especially in gold mining towns including Kwekwe in the Midlands Province.
