"This Is The SIGNAL," Chamisa Tells Supporters

The leader of the opposition MDC (A), advocate Nelson Chamisa has this Tuesday told supporters at Stodart Hall in Mbare where he presented the party’s 2020 Agenda that the signal for them to take action was the difficulties the country is facing.

His supporters have for a long time now been waiting for party leaders to give them a signal to take action against the incumbent administration led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Chamisa said that despite Zimbabwe adopting and launching Vision 2020 in March 1997, the vision which promised Housing, Healthcare, Education and Jobs for all by 2020 the vision remained a pie in the air. Chamisa observed:

Right now, we are struggling with everything and anything education, school fees and teachers conditions of service, doctors, water, electricity, transport and social service delivery in general

People have been impoverished beyond measure, no jobs, no income, no lights, no water, no fuel, prices are escalating while incomes are plunging. It’s just hell on earth, a beautiful country and hitherto relatively prosperous country turned into a hellhole by a failed, rogue and corrupt politics and policies.

He said that the ruling ZANU PF, which he referred to as “the old order”, has failed to bring forth the desired transformation.

Among other issues, Chamisa said that ZANU PF had several issues they are struggling to resolve. These include governance, legitimacy, re-engagement, national convergence, economic, policy, credibility and integrity issues.
