Zvirekwi Speaks On Getting A Contract Termination Notice On WhatsApp

Former CAPS United captain Hardlife Zvirekwi spoke to Star FM about his departure from the green machine and being notified that his contract will not be renewed via a WhatsApp message.

Zvirekwi said this to Star FM Daily Sports Zone hosts:

It hasn’t been a good week for me to be honest. It was really tough and emotional week for me . . . It was a surprise to me. Yes, it was on WhatsApp group that comprises all the players and the team manager as well.

I honestly have no clue whatsoever that they had to do what they had to do in such a manner. The message circulated on social media as it is and it was about the players that had contracts which had expired on 31 December, 2019.

They were saying they are not going to renew any contract that had expired. It was sad, it was tough but I had to accept it because that was the reality on the ground. It was not an easy thing for me but I had to try and accept it and by accepting I think it can help me to see what I can do from here.
