Football Is A Business, We Need Players Who Can Be Nurtured Into Professionals - CAPS United Speaks On Sacking Players

CAPS United in a statement that might pass on as addressing the sacking of some of its players including former captain Hardlife Zvirekwi said they needed players who can be nurtured into professionals because football is a business, The Herald Reports.

This was said by the clubs’ co-director Nhamo Tutisani who reportedly said:

We need to have a business approach in the running of the team. Look, we are not necessarily saying we need to recruit young players, but we need those who can be nurtured into professional players.

Football is business and you need to have the right products which in this case are the players. Of course, we need to be competitive but obviously we need properly groomed athletes who know what their job entails.

According to the publication, Dominic Mukandi, Carlos Rusere, Hardlife Zvirekwi, Kudzanayi Nyamupfukudza, Chris Mverechena and Prosper Chigumba, are among the sacked players. The club reportedly got rid of the ring leaders of the strike that cost the team the league title last year.
