ZRP Arrests The Ringleader In Constable Hokoyo's Murder After Shooting Him Whilst He Was Attempting To Flee

The Police arrested a man known as Pelandaba Tsuma who was already on their wanted list for attempted murder and other crimes, for the murder of Constable Wonder Hokoyo who was hacked to death in Battlefields on 28 December. 

Tshuma was arrested in Rushinga after being shot in the right after he attempted to flee from the police. The arrest was confirmed by Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who said:

With reference to the murder of a police officer (Constable Wonder Hokoyo) in Battlefields, Kadoma, on 28 December 2019, police have arrested Pelandaba Tshuma at his hideout in Rushinga, Mt Darwin. The accused was on the police wanted list for several cases of attempted murder and assault involving the use of machetes.

Tshuma is believed to be the ringleader of a Machete terror gang known as ZIGA. He is currently hospitalised in Kadoma and he is facing 3 charges, the murder of Constable Hokoyo and the attempted murder of 2 other police officers.
