The beauty queen representing Zimbabwe at Miss Global in Mexico, Tania Aaron, was on Wednesday evening crowned the evening gown category first runner up at the preliminaries, The Herald reports.
In an interview, Miss Aaron (24) spoke about winning and the competition as a whole and said:
It came as a shock to me considering that the competition was tough. I am happy that I represented my country well and want to thank my designer Abiot Malawa of Nandi fame label, who made that white dress.
I am keeping my fingers crossed ahead of the announcement of the winner of the Miss Global 2020 tomorrow. It has been a great opportunity for me and I have already made new friends, learning a lot from other contestants their cultures and traditions. I am ready for the crown.
According to Aaron, the gown was designed by a local designer Jasper Mandizera. The finals will be held tomorrow January 18, at Guelaguetza Auditorium, Oaxaca in Mexico.
