Chicken Inn Captures Murambadoro

Former Warriors goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro has reportedly agreed on a deal with Chicken Inn FC to become the club’s goalkeepers’ coach.

H-Metro was told that Murambadoro will join the Gamecocks for pre-season anytime, ahead of the 2020 Premier Soccer League season. The publication’s source is quoted as saying:

Energy (Murambadoro) is joining Chicken Inn as goalkeepers’ coach. They have agreed on terms and is expected to join them for pre-season anytime.

He has done well as a goalkeeper and the guys at Chicken Inn felt he will bring something into their team. He will work with coach Joey Antipas and his technical staff.

Murambadoro, who hails from Gokwe, is expected to apply for exemption from the Zimbabwe Football Association since he does not have the requisite qualifications to coach in the topflight.

The 37-year-old was Warriors first choice ‘keeper in 2004 when Zimbabwe qualified for the African Cup of Nations for the first time.

He retired from a football career that has spanned to over 16 years in May 2019.
