Vice President Mohadi has assured the nation that no one will die of hunger ZBC News reports. The VP said this during a courtesy visit made by United Nations resident coordinator Ms Maria Ribeiro to his offices in Harare today.
The VP said:
The government will marshal all its resources to ensure that no one dies of hunger.
The VP’s remarks are coming in the midst of a dry spell that may precede a second drought after Zimbabwe experienced another drought in 2019, which left half the country in need of food aid. United Nations is already appealing to other nations to help drought-stricken Zimbabwe as food aid might dry up by next month.
