5 MaShurugwi Raid And Rob A ZAOGA All Night Prayer Group In Gweru

In a typical movie-style incident, 5 machete-wielding gang members pounced on a group of worshipers in Gweru‘s Mkoba suburb and stole cash and valuables yesterday, ZBC news reports.

According to an eyewitness account published by ZBC:

 Five masked machete-wielding men, ambushed worshippers who were having a prayer session in the morning and ordered everyone to lie on the floor with one of the team manning the door of the church.

… (They) moved around searching valuables from the church members as they lay on the ground, stealing three cell phones and cash amounting to one thousand five hundred Zimbabwean dollars. (They) then force-marched her to the church house where they stole 20 United States dollars.

MaShurugwi have reportedly killed 105 people since August 2019, and have been causing terror in Zimbabwe’s gold-rich areas.
