40 Dead, 213 Injured In A Stampede At Soleimani's Funeral In Iran
40 people died and 213 others were injured in a stampede at General Soleimani’s funeral procession, Aljazeera reports.
Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Iran’s Kerman for General Qassem Soleimani’s funeral and according to the publication, people were seen lying motionless on the ground videos that were circulating on social media.
The deaths were confirmed by an emergency services official who was cited by Fars News Agency by who said:
So far 40 people were killed and 213 others were wounded in the incident.
General Soleimani was killed by a US airstrike on Friday morning at Bagdad Airport.
