South Africa's ANC Describes USA Murder Of Iran Commander As "An Act Of International Terrorism And Attack On Sovereignty Of Iran,"

South Africa’s ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC) has described that murder of Iranian Quds Commander, Qassem Soleimani by the USA as an act of international terrorism.

City Press reports that the party’s Secretary-general, Ace Magashule released a statement on Friday condemning the attacks. The statement reads:

We view this latest inhumane episode as an attack on the sovereignty and self-determination of the people of Iran.

The ANC rejects this raw aggression against the people and government of Iran, which has the potential to plunge the Middle East and the World into a full-scale war

The party urged the two states to use diplomacy so as to amicably resolve their differences.

The ANC also called upon the United Nations to “act firmly and expeditiously against this act of international terrorism”, and also urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint.

Meanwhile, tensions between USA and Iran seem to be rising as Iran, on one hand, has vowed to avenge their commander whilst the USA on the other has since deployed more troops to the Middle East to reinforce already existing ones.
