Erol Akbay Ready To Take Warriors To World Cup

Former Highlanders and Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Erol Akbay feels he is the right person to take over the Warriors job.

Speaking from his base in the Netherlands last week, Akbay told Sunday Mail Sport that he is ready to take the Warriors to the World Cup. He said:

Zimbabwe has good players playing in Africa and Europe. That’s why I think the country is now ripe to qualify for the World Cup.

I think I am the right man for the job right now because I know Zimbabwean players and I know what Zimbabwean people want.

Several foreign coaches have shown interest in coaching the Warriors after the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) advertised the job vacancy towards the end of 2019.
