Young Mighty Warriors World Cup Preparations In False Start Due To Lack Of Resource

Young Mighty Warriors preparations for the World Cup are reportedly in a false start due to Zimbabwe’s football management body, ZIFA’s very limited financial legroom.

ZBC News reported that the Mighty Warriors did not session today although the session was slated to start today in Mt Hampden.

The reportedly bankrupt football governing body has been struggling to pay players and this is said to have caused some friction between the body and Warriors team during last year’s AFCON edition.

ZIFA also ate a humble pie when the Mighty Warriors boycotted a match against Zambia at the National Sports Stadium last year with the clubs of the Mighty Warriors team saying that the association was not paying for expenses incurred by the players.
