Police Launch Manhunt For Shurugwi Baby Kidnapper

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a manhunt for a woman who allegedly kidnapped her cousin’s three-month-old male child in Shurugwi recently.

The suspected kidnapper took advantage of the mother’s absence to take away the child to an undisclosed location.

On their Twitter handle, Police have appealed for information that will lead to the location of the baby and arrest of the suspect. Read the tweet:

Police in Shurugwi is investigating a case of kidnapping which occurred on 23/12/19, around 1700 hours at Sebanga Extension, Shurugwi. A 3-month-old male infant was kidnapped by Memory Nowa who is the mother’s cousin.

The suspect, who had visited them took advantage of the mother’s absence and went away with the child to an undisclosed destination. Police are appealing for information which may lead to the location of the baby and the suspect.
