Churches Extol ED ‘For Being Sensitive To The People’

An indigenous church leader has expressed gratitude to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for supporting the National Thanksgiving and Dedication event held this Sunday.

Speaking at the event held in Zimbabwe’s second city of Bulawayo, Reverend Andrew Wutawunashe of the Family of God Church (FOG) said:

We want to express particular appreciation for your sensitivity on calling upon the nation to pray. Our indigenous churches are rising up in unity. We have felt as we prayed and listened that as churches we must acknowledge before God that Zimbabwe is a blessed nation. Even when there have been challenges we want to thank God for leaders who have been sensitive to the people.

The event was founded in 2000 and organised by Faith for the Nation Campaign. It brings together different church denominations.

This year, it was held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair grounds under the theme, “Counting our Blessings – Let us through homegrown unity affirm work and pray to achieve our national vision”.

  1. The demise of Zimbabwe re-visited and strengthened once more by the so-called churches in praise worshipping individuals who have destroyed the country for the past 40 years.
