Great Zimbabwe Receives 4000+ Tourists On Christmas Day
Over 4000 tourists on Christmas day chose to spend part of their day at the country’s culture, heritage monument in Masvingo, the Chronicle reports.
Great Zimbabwe employees say on the day, by the opening time they were throngs of people already waiting to see the ruins.
Great Zimbabwe’s Lovemore Mandima was surprised by the turnup despite the economic situation in the country, he spoke to the publication and said:
It is surprising that our numbers are high given the obtaining economic challenges. We had to attend to all visitors that included some with special challenges.
We cater for everyone here and that include people with disabilities who cannot climb the mountains but normally visit our African village and the conical tower at the Great Enclosure
