Advocate Obert Gutu, the vice president of the MDC-T led by Dr Thokozani Khupe has said that questioning the legitimacy of president Emmerson Mnangagwa is tantamount to hallucinating.
His remarks come when the other MDC-A led by advocate Nelson Chamisa is saying that it will engage in a dialogue with the ruling ZANU PF if and only if Mnangagwa’s legitimacy is on the dialogue agenda.

The party says that the standoff between the MDC and ZANU PF emanate from the 2018 elections which it says were stolen by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) in connivance with ZANU PF.
But Gutu who resigned from the MDC led by Chamisa has for some time now been saying that Mnangagwa won the 2018 elections, therefore, discussing his legitimacy was not even necessary. Posting on Twitter, he said:
Legitimacy? What legitimacy? Dream on! You will soon wake up from your horrible & terrible nightmare! POLAD rocks! #
Chamisa’s party has said that they will not join the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) forum which Gutu is praising.
They say that they would engage ZANU PF outside the forum, a request which ZANU PF has since rejected.
