Sunday News has reported that the Highlanders’ coach might not accept the offer he received from the team management a few days ago.
According to the publication, the Dutchman was supposed to have signed the contract before he left the country but he left without signing amid reports that he also received other offers elsewhere.
A source that spoke to the publication revealed that de Jongh is not coming back because the working environment is toxic:
I don’t think De Jongh will sign, there is a toxic environment at Highlanders plus he has better offers.
de Jongh at some point fought with the Highlanders CEO in front of the players according to the B Metro.
