President Emmerson Mnangagwa will on Sunday meet members of the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) at his Sherwood farm.
Presidential spokesperson George Charamba confirmed the development, saying Mnangagwa wants POLAD members to see what he is doing at his farm. Said Charamba:
The President has invited all members of POLAD for them to appreciate what he is doing at the farm.
The meeting comes at a time when MDC leader Nelson Chamisa has reiterated his stance not to be part of the POLAD “sideshow” and “charade”, claiming that the interlocutors have agendas married to those of the ruling ZANU PF party.
POLAD is made up of around one-and-a-half dozen presidential candidates in the 2018 elections, among them is Thokozani Khupe, Brian Mteki (who recently defected to ZANU PF), Lovemore Madhuku, and Lucia Matibenga among others
