ZANU PF Admits 'Things Have Fallen Apart'

The ruling ZANU PF party has acknowledged that things have fallen apart in the country but refused to take the blame for the situation, instead, passing the buck onto the opposition MDC Alliance.

The Central Committee presented a report to the 18th national people’s conference held in Goromonzi last week, painting a gloomy picture on the state of affairs. Part of the report reads:

We know poverty is now pervasive among our communities. Unemployment remains a challenge. The health services sector, which underpins the wellness of our people, has become inadequate. Livelihoods remain fragile.

The report went on to highlight the political challenges faced in 2019 driven by the “immature” opposition MDC-A.

The opposition was blamed for focusing “its energies on disruptive political behaviour, which is misguided and unpatriotic, in an effort to effect regime change with the unholy alliance with the G40 misguided elements”.
