PRESS STATEMENT ON DOCTORS REMUNERATION

It has come to the attention of the Ministry of Health and Child Care that there is a document circulating on social media purporting an upward review of Doctors’ remuneration package by Government.

This statement is false and mischievous as Government has not reviewed salaries of Doctors and other health workers in the manner purported in this false document Government distances itself from this false announcement which should be dismissed with the contempt it deserves.

The last official review of salaries by the government was in September 2019 when all its Health Workers were awarded a 100% increase which still stands.
