The City fathers have increased towing and wheel-clamping fees by a whopping 1000% in some cases, ZimMorning Post reports.
A statement released by the council read in part:
(1 ) Wheel Clamping
(a) Light motor vehicle ZWL$500
(b) Commuter Omnibus (15 seater) ZWL$600
(c)Commuter Omnibus (18 seater) ZWL$700
(d) Conventional buses and lorries ZWL$800
(e) Articulated heavy lorries ZWL$9002Tow away Charges
(a) Light motor vehicle ZWL$500
(b) Commuter Omnibus (15 seater) ZWL$700
(c) Commuter Omnibus (18 seater) ZWL$800
(d) Conventional buses and lorries (provide contractor charges plus 50 percent plus storage plus vat)
(e) Articulated heavy lorries (provide contractor charges plus 50 percent plus storage plus vat)\
The new charges will be effective on Friday 13 December 2019.
