Police Warn Against Online Dating

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has warned members of the public to desist from online dating following the r_pe of a Harare woman by her boyfriend who lured her to his place after they met for the first time.

ZRP issued the warning on Monday through a post on its official Twitter handle. The warning read:

A 29-year-old woman was r_ped after she was lured to meet her online boyfriend at night. The victim met the accused along S. Machel, Harare for the first time and the two drove to a house where the complainant was later r_ped.

We urge members of the public against online dating and social media communication which later on leads to r_pe.

In another post, police warned citizens against practising acts of bestiality after a 92-year-old man was caught in the act with a dog. Police said:
