South Africa power utility, ESKOM has announced that starting at 6 pm this Monday, it will be implementing stage 6 load-shedding, up from stage 4. Posting on Twitter on Monday evening, ESKOM said:
We regret and sincerely apologise that stage 4 load-shedding will move to Stage 6 load-shedding as from 18:00 today, as a result of a shortage of capacity. This follows a technical problem at Medupi Power Station impacting additional generation supply.
The power utility directed consumers to view schedules online and the City of Cape Town tweeted an updated load shedding schedule.
