Government Considering Using Police Body Cameras

The government of Zimbabwe is mulling plans to use police body cameras to record police operations.

This was revealed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Nick Mangwana who Tweeted saying:

Government is considering the use of police body cams (body camera). This will be used to film police operations. This will help change both the behaviour of suspects and that of officers during operations. There are friendly countries happy to support the country in this.

This comes when state police are being accused of using exercise force on citizens, particularly members of the opposition MDC.
