Fired Doctors' Exodus Continues - Report

A Twitter account belonging to a former Zimpapers employee Milayo Ndou has further confirmed reports circulating on social media that Doctors have started leaving the country for greener pastures. 

Ndou Tweeted:

Im with a doctor who’s sharing how he and his 9 colleagues have secured jobs in Ireland, after being fired. He’s collecting his visa end of the week & will start work in January. I urge those who can, to find a way out of this country Got my son’s passport last week… I’m out

The govt resorted to firing all striking doctors after they had been on strike for over 72 days. The govt extended an olive branch to the doctors and asked them to come back. Reports that 46 doctors went back to work were in the state media last week.
