Department Of Civil Protection Warns Of Floods

The Department of Civil Protection has warned members of the public about floods expected in some parts of the country.

Warning River Flooding in some parts of the Country

1. Some parts of the country have been receiving heavy downpours and
this is expected to continue to Tuesday 10 December

2. Accordingly, the public is urged to be cautious particularly those
close to large river systems

3. There have been incidents of communities being marooned by Ume
River in Gokwe North and Ngezi River in Mberengwa

4. Communities are warned to stay clear of rivers, look out for rising
water levels and supervise children.
