Speaking at the launch of her video for her song Tichichema, the singer according to the publication broke down while narrating the story:
I loved and still do love my father. He was an incredible and compassionate person, but he was flawed. If any of you have been in a home where your parents were divorced, as a child nobody explains to you what happened.
I was 12 and asked my mother about the truth of their parting. She then explained to me the truth of what happened. There were a lot of different kinds of abuse.
Ammara’s video Tichichema was launched on the onset of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
