Govt Disowns Matemadanda’s Remarks

The government has distanced itself from recent remarks made Deputy Defence Minister and ZANU PF political commissar Victor Matemadanda.

Justice Minister and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Ziyambi Ziyambi, told the Senate that Matemadanda is not a government spokesperson. He said:

My response is that the government has one spokesperson which is the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.

Whatever Matemadanda said depends on which platform he said that but our Constitution gives him the right to say whatever he wants, but that is not official government channels or information signed by the Information minister.

Matemadanda claimed that human rights lawyer, Douglas Coltart was paying doctors at public health institutions to remain on strike.

Doctors have not been reporting for duty since September because of the measly salaries they were being paid and absence of tools of the trade such as drugs and gloves to use while performing their duties.

  1. Matemadanda has stupid mentality. This is what makes us think that he was a taxi driver during liberation struggle. He is a fake war vet.

  2. Well who cares the people as a majority have disowned the bogus government for years but sadly they are deft dumb and greedy
