President Emmerson Mnangagwa broke tradition when he addressed the 334th Zanu pf politburo at the beginning of deliberations in Harare on Wednesday.

He began by welcoming the Vice President Constantino Chiwenga who attended his first politburo meeting since his return from China where he was receiving treatment for about four months.

Mnangagwa told the meeting that the party was ready for the People’s conference to be held in Goromonzi next week adding that preparations were going according to plan.

He added that his association with communities around the country gave him an informed view of what the citizens need.

The president also thanked China for the medical assistance given to Chiwenga.
