“Some Individuals Are Looting Inputs In The Name Of The Ruling Party.” – Villagers

Villagers in Bindura South have complained over the lack of transparency in the distribution of farming inputs under the Presidential Inputs Scheme.

One of the villagers, Alfred Chitonho told the Daily News that only a handful had received the inputs in the opaque process. Chitonho added:

All we need is clarity. The whole process is not clear. Some individuals are looting the inputs in the name of the ruling party.

There have been concerns over the distribution of public goods with the opposition MDC saying that the ruling ZANU PF was using material things to manipulate the electorate.

The development comes when the country is facing severe starvation due to a number of issues including the El Nino induced drought, power cuts and the economic crisis.
