The striking doctors have listed 10 issues of concern in the running of Public Hospitals and they include:

1. The doctors’ salaries are eroded by inflation and the government is not adjusting their salaries to match the rising cost of living.
2. The Govt is not paying UZ Clinicians their clinical allowances
3. The currently proposed partnership between doctors and private partners is subject to corruption and it disadvantages patients
4. Lack of equipment, drugs and broken or obsolete equipment
5. ICU patients admission capacity reduction
6. Standard Hospital procedures being replaced with dangerous experiments
7. Micromanagement of hospitals
8. Faulty referral systems
9. Lack Of running water in hospitals
