CAF Condemns National Sports Stadium, Approves Barbourfields

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) said that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has condemned Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane and the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

In a statement on Monday, ZIFA revealed that according to CAF inspectors, the two stadiums do not meet minimum requirements to host CAF matches. The statement reads:

Following CAF stadium inspections last month, Mandava stadium and NSS failed to meet minimum requirements to host CAF matches.

Consequently, they have been removed from the list of homologated stadiums. CAF has also exceptionally authorised BF to host CAF matches.
