VP Chiwenga's Wife Reportedly Absent At Chiwenga's Homecoming Mass

The wife of the Vice President was noticeably absent from him homecoming mass that was held in Wedza yesterday, The Standard reports. This has further fed reports that the VP dumped the second lady whilst in hospital under unclear circumstances, the Standard claims.

Giving a courtesy speech the former army boss thanked Ed and the deputy health Minister and sai d they stood by him during his illness.

There are people who stood by me during all these days when I was battling sickness. Deputy minister Mangwiro, who is not here today was there for me till the end. President Mnangagwa didn’t only act like a leader, but also like a brother.

He called Chinese President Xi Jinping so that I could be assisted there. It was bad and at one point I would even forget what I had done. If I had gone for a week or three days in South Africa, I could have been history.

Chiwenga came back home in the dead of the night last week Saturday, abord a Chinese plane and was welcomed by the Chinese deputy ambassador and his family members. His wife was noticeably absent from the welcome party.
