Grade 7 Girl Commits Suicide Over Results
A-12-year old girl from Unit C, Chitungwiza committed suicide inside her parents’ house on Monday evening over grade 7 results which were released by ZIMSEC last Friday.
The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed as some of her relatives had not been informed of the incident. He body spent at least two hours inside the house near Tamuka Primary School as police were yet to arrive at the scene.
Sources who spoke to ZW News suggest that the girl might have failed to come to terms with the results she got in the ZIMSEC examinations and then decided to take her own life. One of the sources said:
We are saddened by the loss of such a kid who had a bright future ahead of her. She probably failed to accept her poor grade 7 results.
Following the development, a local pastor, Mr Prosper Zendera said that the nation should pray for the spirit of suicides among youngsters.

Recently, a form six pupil at Churchill High School allegedly jumped to his death at Parkade in the CBD where a local prominent pastor had also jumped to his death.
