A video of two African children who are apparently training in martial arts has caused split opinion on social media with many accusing China of brutally forcing its culture on Africans.
The two children, who are carrying sticks on the outstretched arms, are visibly crying as they sing what has been translated to be praise songs for China. Most people o social media have criticised forcing children to train beyond their emotional capacity and some have questioned the singing of Chinese praise chants.
Several people have translated the words being chanted to mean:
We all have one family. That nation called China.
Lots of Brothers and sisters are there and also a nice view
In that home are two dragons, Yangtze River and Yellow River
Don’t forget Mount Everest the highest mountain
Some social media users have however said that this is standard martial arts training and that there’s nothing amiss about it.
The date and location of the video are currently not known.
Chinese reeducation smacks of totalitarianism just like the third reich this is the opposite of freedom completely
Africans the world over are correctly learning from the guidance and wisdom of China. It is time for others to learn the great songs and get some learnings from Chinese culture. Every child will do this within 20 years
