Teenage Hadebe To Miss Yeni Malatyaspor Clash With Fenerbahce

Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe has revealed that he came close to being denied entry into Zambia two days before the 2021 Afcon qualifier which Zimbabwe went on to win 2-1.

Hadebe told The Herald that all the pages on his passport, which remains valid, had been used. He said:

There were some problems when we arrived in Lusaka, they said I could not enter the country because all the pages on my passport had been used.

I then called the team manager (Wellington Mpandare) to come and try and address the situation and after some negotiations, I was finally allowed to enter into Zambia.

Because of the passport issue, Hadebe is yet to travel back to Turkey where he plays for Yeni Malatyaspor.

Mpandare said he is expecting Hadebe to get the travel document by Monday next week to enable him to fly back to his base in Turkey.

As a result, Hadebe will miss his club’s match against Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce on Sunday.
