Magaisa Comments On VP Chiwenga Remarks On Striking Workers, Genghis Khan

Alex Magaisa, a law lecturer at Kent University, United Kingdom, says it is ironic that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga blasted workers (including doctors) for striking, while he spent four months in a Chinese hospital.

Magaisa further said by likening the opposition to Genghis Khan, Chiwenga has missed the irony that Khan led a huge army with a reputation for brutality. Writing on Twitter, Magaisa said:

Chiwenga arrives from China where he got excellent healthcare but he makes snide remarks toward workers who are striking for better pay and a better working environment. Those workers include doctors and nurses. The irony is beyond him. He also thinks God has given ED wisdom.

Chiwenga warns the opposition, whom he refers to as “the others”. He says they must not behave like Genghis Khan. Clearly he has been reading some Far Eastern history and folklore. He misses the irony that Genghis Khan had a large, marauding army with a reputation for brutality.

Chiwenga landed at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Saturday at around 2:30 on his return from China where he had been receiving treatment for the past four months.
