Turkey-based Zimbabwean international, Teenage Hadebe has said that his aspiration to play in the English Premiership was renewed by his compatriot, Marvelous Nakamba’s move from Club Brugge to Aston Villa.
Nakamba has been impressive since his arrival at Villa Park with fans and soccer pundits saying that he is likely to establish a household name for himself in England and Europe at large. Teenage said he found new hope due to Nakamba’s move and impressive performance. He said:
Marvelous has shown us that it’s possible to play in such a big league like the English Premier League and that has been inspiring us to try and do as well as he has done.
He has been a revelation at Aston Villa, not many people expected that he would settle so quickly and play as well as he has been doing and that gives all of us hope that we can get that far.
The 24-year-old Warriors centre-back said his move from South African giants Kaizer Chiefs to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor in August this year is merely a stepping stone in his European adventure.
Hadebe was part of the Warriors team that drew 0-0 with Botswana and won 2-1 against Zambia in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers played during the recent international break.
