ZANU PF Says "We'll Not Take That Anymore," Referring To MDC Parliament Boycotts

ZANU PF Political Commissar, Victor Matemadanda has said that the ruling party will no longer tolerate Parliament boycotts by the opposition MDC.

His remarks come after MDC legislators have so far boycotted a number of Parliament events, especially those attended by President Emmerson Mnangagwa saying that he was an illegitimate president.

Last week, ZANU PF retaliated by walking out of the Tendai Biti chaired Public Accounts Committee (PAC) which intended to investigate Sakunda Holdings in connection with US$3 billion Command Agriculture money. Matemadanda said:

What double standards. I think enough is enough, we cannot continue to be taken for granted . . .If they think they cannot respect the President, if they think the setup of Parliament or Government is not normal, they should all resign.

He also said that MDC MPs were being hypocritical as they religiously attend events which have material and financial benefit to themselves.

Analysts have called both ZANU PF and MDC legislators to order saying that they were elected by the electorate to debate national issues in the Parliament.
