Public Service Commission Speaks On Civil Servants Bonuses

The Public Service Commission has issued a press statement with regards to “bonus payment to all civil servants” saying that the government will fulfil its pledge to pay them this November.

The employer dismissed reports in the media suggesting that bonuses will be staggered were not true. See the statement below.

BONUS PAYMENT FOR ALL CIVIL SERVANTS
Following unfortunate media reports on and around the payment of the 2019 Civil Servants’ bonuses, the Public Service Commission wishes to reiterate and put on record that Government is keeping its promise to pay bonuses to ALL Civil Servants in NOVEMBER 2019. There will be no staggering of the payment of bonuses as is being reported in one of today’s newspapers.
