Our AFCON Destiny Is Still In Our Own Hands - Nakamba

Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba told ZTN Sport that he was sorry about the Warriors’ failure to overcome a stubborn Botswana in a 2021 AFCON qualifier played at the National Sports Stadium last week.

Speaking after the game, Nakamba said supporters should not lose heart as the Warriors’ destiny is still in their hands. He said:

We understand very much that we should have won this match to make our qualification chances better as well as to make the country happy.

It is unfortunate we failed to win the game but our intention was to win and we are very sorry about that.

But I do not think it is a disaster, after this result we just need to stay focused and concentrate on the Zambia game.
