ZSE listed Cassava Smartech has unveiled EcoFarmer Diaspora Agriculture Finance Plans to assist Zimbabweans in the diaspora remit farming inputs for their families. Cassava has partnered with leading fertilisers, chemicals and seed companies with branches in various parts of the country in the finance plan.
Speaking about the farming input remittance service, Cassava CEO, Eddie Chibi said:
As a leading technologycompany, we want to leverage on our international remittance platformsto come up with solutions aimed at restoring Zimbabwe’s status as the bread basket of Africa. EcoFarmer DAFP will give more control to our remitters as their funds are in safe hands and will be put to good and intended use.
We will also guarantee that customers get their land tilled through our Vaya Tractor service, which has already been providing tillage services throughout the country.
Beneficiaries of the service launched by Cassava will be able to pick up their inputs from any of the following:
- Seedco Limited,
- Farm Shop/National Tested Seeds
- Arda Seeds.
